I / we are now enclosing a deposit of £//$ . (30 % of the total ), which is non-refundable if the reservation is cancelled less than 60 days before the rental is due to commence, and agree to pay the remainder 8 weeks before the holiday commences, together with the breakage deposit of £100 or /$150 refundable when I/we return the keys and after the property has been inspected. In the case of this booking being cancelled prior to 60 days, an administration charge of £30 or $45 will be charged in order to cover re-advertising costs.
I/we also agree to the following conditions: To use the cottage for the purpose of a holiday during the booked period for my/our personal party and guests only. To maintain the premises, furniture, fixtures and fittings in as good a state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the letting. To keep the cottage clean and tidy, and to leave it in the same condition as it was found on arrival and to pay for washing or cleaning of any counterpanes, blankets or fabrics soiled during the letting. I/we agree to take full and sole responsibility for the safety and conduct of myself/ourselves and all other members of our party and exclude all liability whatsoever for any injury, loss or damage, howsoever arising, to myself/ourselves or any members of our party so far as the same is capable of being excluded by the law. I/we agree that, in the event of any complaint concerning the letting, I/we shall notify the owner within 24 hours thereof, and confirm the same in writing in any event within 7 days of the termination of the letting. No liability whatever shall attach to the owner of the property in the absence of such written notice. In the event of any breach of the above terms and conditions the client shall be liable to compensate the owner for any loss or damage whatsoever and howsoever incurred.
